The Humpback Dance
I love God’s creation and especially the big ticket items…the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Hawaii and of course, humpback whales. I’m always open to new ideas and inspiration for a board carving so I naturally gravitated towards these beautiful creatures. The bay in Maui is a well known humpback mating and nursery each winter and I want to make it back there to see them show off in person one day. Until then, I couldn’t think of a better subject for board #2 than these guys showing off the way God made them…BIG and beautiful! This one has 125+ hours of love poured into her.
